SUMMARY OF 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...23.0N 125.9W ABOUT 1015 MI...1635 KM W OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...35 MPH...55 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...WNW OR 300 DEGREES AT 9 MPH...15 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1002 MB...29.59 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Iselle was located near latitude 23.0 North, longitude 125.9 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Iselle has become a Post-Tropical Cyclone and is expected to continue to weaken until it dissipates in a couple of days or less. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- SURF: Swells generated by Iselle will continue to affect the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula for a couple more days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Please consult products from your local weather office. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles (260 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
