On the forecast track, Fausto will pass north of the Hawaiian Islands through late Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is likely, and Fausto is expected to become a post-tropical remnant low on Wednesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
